If you would like to try something more challenging (I hope I will reach that point at some point) Iβm working on hexagonal abstractive board game, where you can play simultaneously with up to 6 players which gives more natural and unexpected variations of a game. You can check it in section Knyaz. Soon I will release limited version online as Iβm still developing it :)
Great article! Iβve been in the same boat. Iβve been using Lichess and Chess.com as well but recently found disco chess app which is based on the Woodpecker method. So far Iβm really enjoying it and seeing progress in my games.
@the lich look for you
yeah youβll probably see a pic of me with my head in my hands after falling for scholars mate

this is so cool ( my chess tactics sucks too)
I used to play on chess.com, but thereβs so much cheating! Itβs very frustrating. I play only as a guest, and I donβt worry about my Elo.
Lichess is much better at catching cheaters
i don't have my personal chess so i can understand this frustation :(

Itβs easy just go on lichess, you start out with 1500 elo
Really fun, and excruciating. My 7 year old is now interested in chess, care of Harry Potter. I think heβll legit beat me soon.
